Membrane Keypads
Membrane Keypads are used in many applications as versatile and low cost component of a custom HMI solution. Both durable and easily cleaned, membrane keypads create a sealed front panel solution which can incorporate display windows, EMI sheidling and encapsulated LEDs.
Each keypad is manufactured using a static lower contact layer, spacer layer and a flexible upper layer which may be enhanced with various methods of creating a tactile response. A custom designed top graphical layer is then added which may be embossed around the key areas in a number of different ways.
Membrane Keypad Design Options
- Tactile response: Metal dome, polydome or flat membrane
- Embossing: Rim, Pillow, Logo + options for disabled use
- Colours: All requirements can be met using Pantone references
- Illumination: Encapsulated LEDs , Electro-luminesense (requires additional inverter)
- Windows: Clear, Smoked, diffused.
- Tail pitch: Standard 2.54mm, narrower pitch avaliable with suitable connection method.
