Diamond HMI offer the latest Snaptron DT Series Dual Action domes for incorporation in membrane keyboards.

Home » News » Diamond HMI offer the latest Snaptron DT Series Dual Action domes for incorporation in membrane keyboards.

The Snaptron DT Series Dual Action dome detects two different user force levels:

The first position – no tactile sensation in the membrane Switch but makes electrical contact.

The second position – makes a second electrical contact— Membrane Keyboard gives the tactile feedback synonymous with traditional domes switches.

The Continuous Dual-Touch Feature, indicated by DTSD in the part number, takes this functionality further. Two dimples on the short foot ensure that the dome maintains electrical contact through both actuations.

The DTSD dome also assists with off-centre actions while sustaining a consistent trip force. This design allows the first contact to work consistently, even when pressed at an angle or off-centre.

Key Features

  • Standard size in 6mm, 7mm, 8.5mm, 10mm, and 12mm
  • life cycle ratings up to 5,000,000 cycles.
  • forces ranging from 180g to 340g
  • DTSD domes are nickel-plated.
