Diamond HMI have signed and agreement with ALGRA AG of Switzerland to act as both their Exclusive Agent and Distributor for the UK market. ALGRA are world leaders in the design and Manufacture of Piezo Keypads using their patented DYNAPIC® and DYNASIM® technology.
Piezo Keypad Technology is a force Sensing technology based on the Piezo Electric Effect wheres the small deformation of a facia panel is sensed by the Piezo element and turned into a useable switching signal by a custom ASIC chip. ALGRA’s latest DYNASIM® technology allows both Piezo elements and circuit tracks to be printed during the same automated printing process reducing costs for higher volume applications and allowing for the creation of custom key sizes.
Facia panels can be made of Aluminimum, Stainless Steel, Plastics or Glass and can even be curved to suit the overall product design. The fact that there are no moving parts within the switch assembly and the fact that this assembly can be fully sealled makes Piezo ideal for use in harsh or ruggedised environments.
