Introducing DynaSENSE, incredibly robust, resistive input technology that requires no complicated electronic interface. Using innovative nano-particle conductive ink technology, DynaSENSE enables designers to create a “Light Touch” interface with plastic overlay materials of thicknesses between 0.15 to 0.75 mm.
The simple construction with almost no mechanical movement creates a completely flat panel surface, similar to a traditional membrane keypad. When the switch is actuated the electrical resistance reduces which can be sensed by simple electronics. No complex controller chips or firmware is required.
Compared with other touch interface technologies, resistive touch has lower overall costs due to its simple structure. DynaSENSE resistive keypads are ideal for medical, industrial, and outdoor applications, where the user wears hand protection. Keypads fully functional when actuated with gloves or other mechanical actuators.
DynaSENSE is the only touch technology that offers such a wide temperature range. The graphene-based nano-carbon resistive ink formulation exhibits stable switch resistance between temperatures of -40°C to +100°C.
Due to the flat surface of the overlay, the decision to incorporate DynaSENSE technology into an application can be readily accepted by the user due to similarities with consumer touch screen electronics. The ability to adapt them into challenging environments through moisture and EMI resistant properties makes them a versatile solution in areas that previously may not have considered this type of technology.
