The WF70WTYAULNN0 from Winstar Display is a 7 inch IPS TFT module with HD 800x1280 resolution. This 7 inch module has an onboard driver to support an LVDS interface and has a typical display brightness of 450 nits. It is designed for use in Portriat mode with a 9:16 aspect ration and has an Anti Glare finish.

5 inch TFT Module ideal for Raspberry Pi applications
The Winstar WF50BTIFGDHGX is a 5 inch HDMI TFT-LCD module with Projected Capacitive Touch Panel (PCAP). It has WVGA resolution of 800x480 dots and is supplied with a control board carrying a HDMI interface and a 40-pin GPIO connector. The display module is designed for easy integration into "Raspberry Pi" projects.

Winstar introduce new 2.4" & 2.8" TFT LCD Modules

The latest WF24E & WF28E are small format TFT displays from Winstar are both full colour 240 x 320 RGB TFT LCD modules with diagonal sizes of 2.4 & 2.8 inch respectively.Both modules have a built in ILI9341V driver IC which supports 8/ 16bit 8080-series Parallel MCU Interface.  The WF24H model has module dimension of 42.72 x 60.26 mm and Active area size of 36.72 x 48.96 mm whilst the WF28E models dimensions are 50.0 x 69.2 mm and Active area size of 43.2 x 57.6 mm. Logic supply voltage range from 2.5V to 3.3V. Display brightness is measured at up to 500 cd/m2 making either device ideal for handheld and bench top instruments.  Both display are designed for portrait mode applications however if you would like to use it as landscape mode, please contact with us for technical support.

Following on from the success of Winstars excellent Q Series TFT's which saw the introduction of 3.5 / 4.3 / 5.7 / 7.0 / 8.0 and 10.2" TFT Modules with built in SSD1963 Controllers we are excited to announce the launch of the new P Series.These latest panels utilise the powerful Raio RA8875 controller which offers a standardised 36 pin interface supporting 8 or 16 bit Parallel options and includes onboard flash memory. There is even a built in LED backlight driver providing brightness adjustment and thus eliminating the need to design this on your board.Resistive and Capacitive Touch Screens versions are available with the Touch Screen Driver being onboard meaning the I2C read / write protocol can be input directly from the 36 pin connector which further simplifies your PCB design.

As consumers we have all become comfortable with the touch screen on other hand held gadgets and even our laptop monitors. Where a tactile response of a key is deemed to be required industrial designer often propose complex 3D solutions such as Silicone rubber keypads. So what is the future of membrane keypad technology?

Clearly there are still some major plus points to using a membrane primarily it is has the cheapest cost of entry to producing an integrated custom keypad solution for any electronic product. For many business’s this can be the overriding factor for consideration and in for applications a well-designed membrane keyboard can work very well.

The ability to include string printed graphics from a full pallet of colour can help a product stand out from the crowd. Top layers can be changed easily and at little cost whenever a rebranding is required.

Although key travel varies only slightly it is possible to tune the tactile response for membrane keypads incorporating either poly-domes or metal domes. The use of embossed switch areas and selective gloss coating can add to the visual effect.

Finally Including SMD LED’s within the keyboard sandwich can reduce a products manufacturing costs and produce a better overall finish.
